Step 1: Enrol and Train with IPSS

Title: Certificate in Consultancy Sociology (CCS-IPSS)
A practical, job-ready program designed to convert sociology graduates into practicing sociological consultants.

Duration: 2 to 3 Months Intensive

Step 2: Internship with IPSS-Partner Organizations

Objective: Hands-on field experience to bridge theory and practice.

Internship Placements May Include:

  • Local NGOs (Community Development, Education, Health)
  • Foreign NGOs and INGOs (USAID, Oxfam, Mercy Corps, etc.)
  • UN Organizations (UNDP, UNICEF, UN Women, etc.)
  • Federal and State Agencies (NBS, NYSC, Ministry of Youth, etc.)
  • Research Think Tanks
  • Private Consulting Firms
  • Universities, Institutes and Schools (Research or Social Impact Units)

Activities May Include:

  • Impact Assessments
  • Program Design and Monitoring
  • Social Audits
  • Stakeholder Engagement
  • Field Data Collection and Analysis
  • Policy Evaluation and Community Needs Assessment

Duration: 3 to 6 months


Step 3: Obtain the IPSS Professional Certificate

Title: Professional Certificate in Consultant Sociology (PCCS-IPSS)
Earn your license and begin practising as a certified Consultant Sociologist under IPSS.

Certification Unlocks:

  • License to consult as a Consultant Sociologist
